Abstract
Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of pelvic mobilization exercises combined with dynamic taping on range of motion, pain in patients with lower back pain. Methods Patients with lower back pain who met the selection criteria were assigned to the study group (n=15) and the control group (n=15). Each group performed pelvic mobilization exercises combined with taping for 30 minutes a day, three times a week, for four weeks. The Visual Analog Scale (VAS), digital inclinometer were used to measure variable changes between pre, mid, and post intervention during observation. Results The intervention group showed statistically significant differences in the control group at least one point in time on the following measures. There were significant differences in Standing with knee flexion posture Lumbosacral angle (p<0.05), Pelvic Range of motion (p<0.001), and Visual Analog Scale scores (p<0.001). Conclusion Pelvic mobility exercise combined with taping positively affected Pelvic range of motion and pain in patients with low back pain.
