Abstract
The question of how to understand cerebral palsy(CP) is basis to decide an intervention approach and its direction. Therefore, it is necessary to understand CP fundamentally, not to recognize as only body disability but to approach it as a problem suffered by an equal human being sharing same dignity. From this understanding, we can approach the intervention of CP children from the holistic view. In previous studies, CP intervention with holistic approach involves not only whole development of individual children, but also environment of their belongings, a vast field from relation with their family to peer group and community. This article reviews the principles and characteristics in intervention for CP mainly from therapeutic approach (Bobath therapy) and educational approach(Conductive Education). I wish that this would apply to basic resource for holistic intervention effort in the field of CP therapy and education.
